Each divorce case is unique, but divorce costs don’t have to be prohibitive. In most cases, costs escalate because the parties can’t come to an agreement over their children or their finances.
If you can agree potentially contentious issues with your partner, then the costs of your divorce don’t need to skyrocket.
If you are the Petitioner in the divorce and your divorce is expected to be straightforward, we will carry out the work for a fixed fee of £600 plus VAT. There is a Court fee of £550, which you will pay to the Court in order to apply for the divorce.
If you are the Respondent in the divorce and the divorce is expected to be straightforward, we will carry out the work for you for a fixed fee of £400 plus VAT. Your spouse may be claiming the costs of the divorce from you in the Divorce Petition and this will need to be discussed with your solicitor. The claim for costs in a Petition relates to the costs incurred by your spouse and would be separate from the costs you will pay your solicitor for acting on your behalf.
